July 2025 Astro Forecast:Take your Mask Off and Open your Heart

Welcome to July in the post-Solstice twilight zone (for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere), where the vibes are weird, the insights are weirder, and Pallas Athena is still retrograde in Aquarius, poking holes in our logic and asking, *“But does this actually make sense?”

And of course it doesn’t! But that is the point. As the month begins, a Yod forms briefly with the Moon and Chiron drops by to stir our subconscious soup. If something feels off, go back in time (mentally, not literally...unless you have a DeLorean). The key is context and a bit of rational unpacking.

Once that cosmic itch subsides, Venus sashays into Gemini and becoming the celestial gossip this month. She’s busy sextiling a freshly retrograde Neptune, which sounds dreamy but might also leave us tangled in self-doubt and romanticised nonsense. The solution? Say what’s really on your heart, even if it comes out weird. The weirder you think it is going to sound, the more so. Some things need to come out rather than be bottled in. Yet don’t forget to check in with your head and gut for timing.

And just when we thought there were no more major changes this year, on July 7th, Uranus officially enters Gemini for the first time in 84 years. The planet of radical change, rebellion, and surprise plot twists has switched channels. Goodbye material obsessions, hello mental gymnastics. This is your cosmic permission slip to edit the script of your life. We will find the courage to ditch the stuck loops and inner critics in our heads that hold us back. We are the writers and main characters of our lives. Remember to: Rewrite. Reclaim. And…Repeat.

On 11th July, we get a Full Moon in Capricorn, permitting us to lovingly release whatever Uranus in Taurus lessons we’ve been dragging behind us like a cosmic security blanket. The Moon makes a lovely link with the Nodes, Juno goes direct, and we’re invited (okay, shoved) into making peace with what was and what will be. We may discover that pride is overrated, yet grace is essential during this time. You see, when something leaves, trust that space is being made for what’s meant to arrive.

Saturn joins the retrograde rave (along with pretty much most outer planets at this point) on the 14th July. If you’ve been ignoring a Saturn in Aries life lesson, surprise — it’s back! If you were born with Saturn in Aries, welcome to your Saturn return! Whether it is the 1st, 2nd or 3rd one, there are lessons there and internal life reorganisation to be had. Remember to reassess, relearn and recalibrate.

Mercury retrogrades (yes, again) on the 18th July and forms a mini grand trine with Ceres and Venus. Translation? This isn’t just about misplacing your keys; it’s about shedding what no longer serves your real, raw self. It is like an ego detox with a side of emotional composting. We are in a year of transition, and we are between where we were and where we are meant to be. Let it go and let it be.

Then on July 22, the Sun struts into Leo like it owns the place (because it does). Happy Birthday, Lions! The Sun is immediately flexing opposite Pluto and cuddling up to Neptune and Saturn in a cosmic and shining moment. Even Pluto can’t dim the Leo season. Let this energy show where a whole new cycle is peeking through the cracks.

On July 25, the New Moon in Leo brings close to the month with a delicious sextile to Uranus and Sedna in Gemini. We are looking at very old wounds here, and it is time to ditch the old paradigms and make room for new ideas, even the wild ones. See even more than one planet and asteroid is saying, let it go!

Finally, on 31st July, Venus wraps up her Gemini tour with a dramatic hair toss and glides into Cancer, just as Chiron stations retrograde. It’s time for emotional honesty. Masks are slipping., making words visible. Yet this vulnerability feels powerful.

So, as we look to the second half of 2025, say farewell to old stories and fake personas. Say hello to heartfelt truth, radical growth and a version of you that feels a whole more like YOU. It may be messy, yet magical.
