“You don’t know if you will ever fall in love until you do. And then, it stops your heart. It’s like the Halting Problem. You don’t know if your heart will stop; it could just keep going forever, untouched by love. And then when it does - well, there’s no going back.” - The Theory of (Not Quite) Everything, By Kara Gnodde.
“I’m getting married!” exclaimed my new friend.
Forever a sucker for a romance, I squealed and asked if they set a date.
“March 28th.”
“Oh, in 2026?”
“No, in 8 weeks. We want to get it done with. It’s a small affair …” and she continued about her exciting plans.
(Insert astrological crickets here. They have a chime to their ring as they rub their wings to call in a mate.
Why the crickets? Have you seen the 1999 movie, Runaway Bride, with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere? In the film, the bride always prepares to wed her current beau, only to run away at the altar. So when my friend was telling me about her plans, I had a look at the astrology for March 2025. My first instinct was to say, 'Stop!' But should she? Or should she, like the Halting Problem, keep going or run in another direction? Let’s look at this month's astrology in detail first.

You will notice that the month starts with Venus going Retrograde in Aries on the 2nd of March. Hence, the astrological crickets. Generally, if you ask an astrologer when the best time to get married is, they will steer you away from a retrograde period of Venus. Seeing the absolute joy on her face made me shut my mouth and squeal in excitement (we are both Librans). Let’s face it. Being a bride is exciting, and getting swept up in the romance of it all and planning the event. The feeling like nothing can stop her…or any of us.
And it is that kind of retrograde. Venus is conjunct with the Moon on this day and sextile Jupiter. We will feel all the feels and more confident in the coming six weeks. We will be shown where we are kidding ourselves and where we need to have more self-confidence. Are we giving our power away? Do we know our true worth? Do others around us appreciate us?
Asking ourselves these questions makes us reflect during this retrograde season. And it leads us to the first eclipse season of 2025 on the 14th of March. We will have a Full Moon eclipse in Virgo. This eclipse makes an easy opposition to Uranus. This eclipse will bring us down to earth and ready to face those closest to us who don't appreciate us. We will realise what we need to do to do so and what we need to do to find more balance in our lives. We must stop kidding ourselves and see the forest for the trees. We need to have those honest conversations. Especially with those from whom we aren't equally receiving nurturance. Watch for talking yourself into what you want to believe and face what you need to see during this full moon. It will bring clarity and grounding that we haven’t seen in a long time.
Mercury goes retrograde on the 16th in Aries. This month has a strong Aries/Pisces signature as the planets and asteroids line up in our skies. As the Aries energy will be making us feel gun-ho about saying what we want to say. But remember, it is retrograde season! You may be able to go back on it, but not without repercussions.
On 20th March, Juno goes retrograde in Sagittarius. So when I saw this in my monthly analysis, I thought of my friend. And rather than pick up the phone and say,’ Wait, reschedule!’ I looked into the rest of the month and the event date. And the stars reveal something quite unexpected.
When Juno decides to go in another direction, it is not before the Moon comes along. We sense a wanting to break free or feel free where this falls in our charts. We will want to step back and see if what we are doing is the right thing as Juno makes a trine to Venus. Yet this is what will feel scary. These heavenly bodies form a Minor Grand Trine to Pluto in Aquarius! What an aspect! Is it a sign that my friend should run away like Julia Roberts' character? Or, rather, should she embrace the transformation she is about to experience? Being in the middle of eclipse season, we are realising things about ourselves. And realising this will make us absolutely sh!t scared about what is coming ahead as it is so new. So, what is coming up for the rest of the month?
As the Sun enters Aries on the 21st March equinox (HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARIES!), it brings light to the asteroid Vesta going retrograde on the 22nd March at the same time as the Major Lunar Southern Standstill Limit! How’s that for a lot of astrological and astronomical jargon? Try saying that after a few Pinot’s!
So, to decipher it for you. We will be feeling this huge influx of Aries energy. To go full steam ahead on the horse Julia is on. But not without Vesta saying, ‘Are you sure about that? Have you dotted your ‘i’s and crossed your ’ t’s? Do you think you are ready? Because here is what is coming.”’And bam! There is the truth. The healing truth is that we will feel ready to embrace the changes. We need to steer that horse back toward the altar and beyond.
I should explain the Major Lunar Southern Standstill Limit. Every 18.6 years, the Moon's orbit and the tilt of the ecliptic make a tilt at about 28.5 degrees away. In other words, it is the southernmost point in the sky on our horizon we will see the Moon in 18.6 years before it goes north. Cool huh? So, kids born around this time will have out-of-bounds moons. They will be very creative and seem quite odd. These children are advanced souls. They will do things and make their dreams come true in their own way.
On the day of my friend's wedding on 28th March, Venus retrogrades back into Pisces. Leading to the New Moon eclipse on the back of her wedding train in Aries, too, the day after, on 29th March. We may be getting cold feet about something or rather cannot decide which way to go on certain issues. We may feel we need to get out there, but the past may be returning for a re-run instead. We see where the comfort of where we have been lies and know we are ready to go where we want to go, but can we? Should we choose the comfort of the past and stay in the patterns we know we need to break out of? Or should we embrace what is coming ahead and where we know we are heading but are frightened to embrace?
The month's end brings the answers we seek. It is time on the 31st of March when Neptune moves into the sign of Aries to embrace where we are heading. On the same day, Mercury also moves into the sign of Pisces to remind us what our dreams and passions are. To see if they are still what we want to embrace. Is it time in this new Neptunian phase to grab the opportunity, or is it time to embrace what we want? And it may be something you never thought you could embrace. You may feel fearful. Embrace the release as the nodal axis moves away from Neptune. Yet the god of the sea has our backs on this one. And time will tell over the coming months, which I will explore in the upcoming forecasts.
There are a lot of changes in March. And, you may be wondering if my friend should go ahead with the wedding. The first rule for astrologers is: Do No Harm. The other is that there is no such thing as a bad chart.
We are all on our journeys of spiritual growth. The God, Goddess, Universe, and Higher Powers gave us the choice of free will. It is up to us to decide what to do with that energy.
And as Neptune’s transit brings the first outer planet change of the year (taking the lead from Pluto moving into Aquarius). Neptune is making a wide Grand Trine to Juno and Mars in Cancer. Neptune invites us to embrace our inner goddess. To look upon ourselves and our loved ones with compassion. To take a step back and prepare for our dreams ahead. To embrace our loved ones more than ever. It is time to be bold, take action and be innovative in our lives.
Spoiler alert: At the end of Runaway Bride, Julia's character gets married. But does it how she wants. Her terms, her rules and finding the partner of her dreams that supports her.

And it took my friend a while to find her supportive other half. So it is time for my friend to take that leap, whatever it may bring her way. If she (or any of us) feels like looking at our destiny approaching and running… Stop. And think. The Universal laws of mathematics, physics and astrology cannot stop one key thing. And that is love.
See you next month!
Astrological Blessings,
Georgina xxx
