Face Hades, Face Ermes, Face All the Gods!

Updated: Aug 25

How have the last few weeks been for you? I found the recent Mercury Retrograde period to be quite testing. Never have I been more misunderstood. Never have I had to use the Libran iron fist in a velvet glove more than I have the past few weeks. Yet I have had conversations that have opened my mind. They have given me so much information to ponder. I need to hibernate in a Plutonian cocoon to get to the core of things. So that makes September all the more interesting to see how things pan out.

Within days of the new month, we have a New Moon in Virgo. On the same day, Pluto moves back into Capricorn for the last time on 3rd September. It's a juxtaposition of a new beginning with a new ending. We are invited to look at our lives from 2008. And look at what has transpired in the last week or so of 2023 up to around the 22nd of January, 2024. During that time, we were finishing things up. When we thought we had it done and dusted, guess again.

There is something that needs finalisation. Pluto will bring a mirror to our faces to say we are not done. We may need to get into the Plutonian cocoon. We need to transform, heal or have that deep and dark conversation with the God of the Underworld. Because when Pluto finally moves into Aquarius for good in a couple of months, we are ready to emerge from that cocoon as the best version of ourselves ever. Embrace it!

Mars moves into the sign of Cancer on 5th September asking us to be more calm with what we are facing this month. Mercury’s shadow period ends around the 10th. After this retrograde season, we are armed with the information to face our challenges. It will be time when Mercury also moves into the sign of Virgo. We can see the fine details with a clearer lens and sign on the dotted line if needed.

On 9th September, the asteroid Pallas Athena moves into Sagittarius. She is asking us to tune into our bodies. Listen, to what agrees with us and what doesn’t. Pallas Athena also wants us to look at the bigger picture. What is it that we are hiding our heads in the sand about? We should be looking upward and bravely to the heavens!

This month is fascinating. It is the month we are embracing the last eclipse season of the year.  On the 18th of September, a partial Full Moon eclipse in Pisces brings in what we need to let go of. You may be wondering why I keep waxing lyrical about letting go. As above, so below. The skies are inviting us not by a mere astrological forecast. Imagine you are a celebrity invited to the Oscars. You have been wearing sunglasses during nighttime as your limo makes its rounds around the area. You feel you aren't ready to attend the ceremony, see anyone or do anything. Yet the stars say it's time to approach the red carpet. Face the blinding lights of the photographers (or rather, the Full Moon eclipse). Take the hand of the gorgeous partner accompanying you. Walk down the red carpet to the show. You never know what can happen. Embrace the changes presenting themselves in our lives. It is time.

On 23rd September, we are entering Libra season as the Sun enters Libra.

Happy Birthday, Libran’s!

As a Libran myself, I love it when I have my Solar Return. I can feel the extra boost I need to face the year ahead. Venus enters the sign of Scorpio the day after. And while we are feeling more diplomatic or want to beautify things around us during this season (especially as Spring takes hold in the Southern Hemisphere) we will also want to have more passionate and meaningful experiences.

And with that, we will find ourselves to be more diplomatic. More sweet-tongued in what we say as Mercury engages the sign of Libra on the 27th of September. It is a valuable tool as we spend time in the Plutonian cocoon. We will emerge one day empowered with confidence and knowledge. Take it one day at a time, and be kind to yourself.

See you next month!

Astrological blessings,

Georgina xxx
