Truth in the Air, Depth in the Water

October arrives with a sense of waking up and thinking, ‘What on earth was that eclipse season about?’ In the north, cooler winds carry the first whisper of winter, while in the south, warm breezes hint at summer’s return. Wherever you are, the wind seems to learn our names, and the scales tilt toward truth. This month opens with a vow, carries us through an ember-bright Full Moon, lifts the heavy places with an Air Grand Trine, and finally slips into velvet-dark Scorpio waters, where whispers turn into instructions. Read this forecast like a map written on falling leaves: soft, precise, and just a little wild.

We begin on October 1st as Juno enters Sagittarius. The archer’s arrow points toward honesty in our partnerships. Whatever the relationship, whether romantic, business, or otherwise, the guarantee we seek now is that those standing beside us will do so through growth, good times, and challenge alike. Any agreements forged under this sky want room to breathe, space for faith, and a wide horizon. Relationships begun now need one promise above all: truthfulness, always.

As life evolves, new ideas surface. With growth comes riddles to solve, some tricky, some that untangle themselves. That’s the gift of Pallas Athena turning direct in Aquarius on October 4th. Suddenly, what once felt illogical falls into place. We see which boundaries to redraw and which conversations to have. Strategy and clarity re-emerge.

Just a few days later, on October 7th, the Full Moon in Aries lights the sky. Energy surges, passions flare, and sparks of courage ignite like a match. This Full Moon squares Jupiter in Cancer, magnifying emotions and amplifying joy, frustration, and the need to be seen. With Chiron conjunct the Moon, old wounds may stir, asking for recognition and healing. On the same day, Mercury enters Scorpio, descending to the basement of truth. Words carry depth, weight, and consequence. Superficial talk won’t hold so speak from the soul, or not at all.

By October 14th, the retrograde season of the outer planets begins to ease as Pluto stations direct in Aquarius. The long underworld audit loosens its grip. That same day, Venus enters Libra, linking with Pluto and Uranus in Gemini to form an Air Grand Trine. It’s as if a gust of fresh air arrives at just the right moment. Conversations become lighter, liberating, and honest. We’re ready to shake out the rugs, open the windows, and let the cross-breezes rearrange the furniture of our lives.

This clears the way for the New Moon in Libra on October 21st. This lunation briefly forms a Yod with Saturn and Neptune in Pisces and Uranus in Gemini, asking us to balance compassion with innovation as we step into new relational patterns. Opposite retrograde Chiron in Aries, the message is clear: healing comes through tenderness, not perfection. This New Moon asks us to choose repair over rigidity, fairness over force. At the same time, Mercury enters its ‘retroshade’ period, the prelude to November’s retrograde. Seeds planted now will be revisited later, so begin, but leave space for edits and grace.

On October 22nd, Neptune returns to Pisces for the final time in our lifetimes. Since 2012, Neptune in Pisces has been weaving dreamscapes, illusions, and spiritual lessons. Now begins the closing hymn. Conjunct Saturn, trine Jupiter, sextile Uranus and the Sun, Neptune shows that discipline can nourish imagination, curiosity can deepen faith, and endings can dissolve what no longer holds love. This is the final act of a long play that has shown us to keep only what still rings true.

Finally, on October 29th, Mercury strides into Sagittarius, still close to Mars and Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio, and joined by Juno in Sagittarius. Words gain boldness, sometimes too much but they matter. This Mercury is connected to Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and even Ceres, asking that what we say be meaningful, coherent, and nourishing, not harsh. Making a sextile to Pluto, communications will have voltage that the truth spoken now can reach exactly the ears that need to hear it.

October asks us to walk with both courage and tenderness. To speak the truth, but softly, and to hold our own hearts while doing so. It is a month of promises, revisions, and rebalancing. Wherever the winds carry you, may they bring clarity, compassion, and a sense that you are exactly where you need to be.

See you next month!

Astrological blessings,

Georgina xxx
