How the Universe is Playing Dice with Astrologers

I’m writing this forecast in advance. As you read these words, I will be visiting extended family in the Philippines. I have tried to study Tagalog, but my family is from the region where they speak Cebuano. So at the behest of Mr Aquarius, I have been learning Spanish, as the dialect has a lot of Spanish influence. To be honest, I love it! I don’t know why I didn’t start learning another language earlier. The last time I visited the Philippines, I didn't know the language. I still don't. But I picked up all the Spanish words spoken quicker as they are similar in rhythm to Greek. And over the years, I have somehow come to understand Cebuano more. Learning a new language does fire up the brain and make new neuronal connections. For example, I was driving home recently and realised I needed to get milk. My brain didn't say this in English or Greek but in Spanish, and I heard, “Necessito leche” in my mind's ear. So cool! I do need to find some native Spanish speakers so I can practice the language. But will this help while I’m there? I’ll keep you posted. I always wanted to learn more languages. Doing so now feels like a new beginning.

And that is one thing I have been going on about. This year is about new beginnings. But with that, the planets are not inviting us but urging us to finish things as things start. And this invitation precipitates as October begins, in the form of the New Moon eclipse. It is the last one for the year, ending the second eclipse season of the year now in the sign of Libra.

This New Moon eclipse will focus on our relationships and how we relate with others. We need more balance in our lives. You don’t need to be a Libran to have balance emphasised in your life. Having incarnated in this dimension and planet is reason enough. Balance is the key to our well-being. The loose ties you may be procrastinating to face or end will be in your face. And there is a reason why.

On 8th October, Jupiter goes Retrograde in Gemini. We will be reassessing what has occurred since May this year. Communications with our partners and others will be the focus (Juno in Easy Opposition with Chiron and Mercury and Sun). Jupiter holds the key to our healing journey in our relationships with others. It is time to talk about it. It is time to get real. Discuss things in a calm and open-minded manner. Healing needs to begin for our evolution.

As Jupiter decides to go retrograde on the 12th of October Pluto decides to go direct. The T-square formed with Chiron and Mercury says the reassessment is over. It is time to transform as we revisit the anaretic degree of Capricorn under Pluto’s influence. If you haven’t tied those ties, do it this month! The eclipse will help identify what needs our attention. Look at your chart to see where transiting Pluto is. It is time.

Soon after Mercury makes a meeting with Pluto, he moves into Scorpio. Pluto has made his mark. We finally know where to set our boundaries. We will be able to talk about taboo issues that we have been avoiding for a while.

The Full Moon in Aries on the 17th of October will show where the new starts are coming from. Until now, you may have felt you weren’t ready. Imposter syndrome may have reared its ugly head. If you don’t start now, when will you? If you don’t end what needs to end now, when will you? There is never a better time than…now.

During this Full Moon, Juno is conjunct with the Sun. She is also making an out-of-sign opposition with the Moon and Chiron in Aries and Hygeia in Taurus. Hygeia’s presence during this Full Moon is inviting us to take a look at our health. You see if we don’t live in our truth, we don’t feel right. And if we don’t feel right, we aren't at ease. As Louise Hay said, Disease is a dis-ease. Something we aren’t at ease with manifests in our bodies. Listen to your body during this Full Moon. And if your head hurts a tad more or your throat seems more sensitive, there is a sign there. Write your thoughts down, and download the downloads from the muses. And speak out when needed.

With Venus moving to Sagittarius the next day, an extra fun-loving and free energy is added to the month. Even with the Libran energy in the air, this transit brings more light to the month. A key feature is looking at where we need more balance during the Libran season.

On the 23rd of October, the Sun moves into Scorpio. Happy Birthday, Scorpios! The Plutonian theme continues this month as the Sun forms an out-of-sign Grand Cross with Mars, Juno (out-of-sign conjunction with the Sun), Pluto and Hygeia. Mars is in Cancer bringing a gentler challenge. Ceres in Capricorn opposes the Moon, so we need to be kind and nurturing to ourselves. We need to look at what we aren’t expressing in our relationships. Voicing our needs shows where we need healing and nurturance. Look at how you can restore balance. Ensure you aren't sacrificing your agency to fit the status quo. Do what is true to you.

On the 28th of October Vesta moves into Libra conjunct the South Node. There are many out-of-sign aspects within orb this month, but it feels like the Universe is playing dice with astrologers. Universe, we can see your messages. This conjunction now forms a Grand Trine with Uranus and Pluto. Vesta says, “Sure, that situation was comfortable. But isn't it time to be true to who you are? Be your true self!” Vesta is inviting us to give up what we have known. Look at new ways to collaborate and unite with others to find reciprocal give and take. We must ensure that we are not doing things to attract admiration and sacrifice things over our needs.

Again, we must ensure that we don’t kid ourselves. We may be looking forward to Pluto moving into Aquarius next month. Yet it won’t be as promising if we don’t put in the work the planets and asteroids are asking of us this month. We are nearly there. As the saying in Greek goes (if I translate it directly), ‘You’ve eaten the cow, the tail is all that is left.’ Which means we have some more work to do. The tail is the hardest to chew (sorry to my Vegetarian and Vegan readers) but we are nearly there. We have to put in the work. We have to ensure what we are doing will serve us in the long term. Like what use is learning a language if I don’t practice it well? I guess while in the Philippines, I may be tested.

Magkita ta sunod buwan! See you next month!

Astrological blessings,

Georgina xxx
